About Shakti Scheme Karnataka 2025
The Congress government of the state of Karnataka has implemented its flagship initiatives, in which the Shakti Scheme Karnataka is one of the flagships launched in the year 2023. Under this scheme, the government is providing free intra-state transport in the local buses of the state for women, including students and specially abled women, and also for transgenders belonging to the domicile of the whole Karnataka state.
The scheme covers females belonging to the age group from 6 to 12 years old. The females belonging to all domiciles of the state can now travel free of fare intra-state in all the non-luxurious buses of the state. The “Shakti Scheme” is found as one of the most triumphant schemes in the state of Karnataka. The scheme has covered more than 10 lakh women by granting free intra-state travel; beneficiaries have taken the benefit by traveling 229 km across the state, and the estimated ticket value is 5500 crore rupees.

The main objective of the Shakti Scheme Karnataka 2025 is to provide free-of-cost travel facilities to all the women of Karnataka across the state and to increase the shrinking women’s labor force. Another objective of the scheme is to empower the public transportation system of the state of Karnataka. Through the benefit of the Shakti Scheme, women can save a lot of money by transporting themselves intra-state free of cost in non-premium local buses of the state.
