Lately, the administration of Delhi University has launched a significant flagship education initiative named the JAIHIND Scheme Delhi University, under which the authorities aim to provide free coaching of basic computer skills and CUET preparation-related training to students who are coming from scheduled tribes (ST) from all over India. The authorities of DU want to empower students for higher education and enhance digital literacy among the ST students. About JAIHIND Scheme Delhi University

Delhi University has newly launched a very impressive flagship initiative, the JAIHIND Scheme, designed to provide digital computer skills, offer higher education opportunities, and focus preparation for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) to students of classes 9th to 11th from all over India who belong to Scheduled Tribes (ST). The scheme was systematically launched at an event occurring on the DU campus attended by the secretary of higher education in Delhi, Mr.Vineet Joshi. The Vice Chancellor of Delhi University, Mr.Yogesh Singh, said that the first batch of the scheme covers 25 students of scheduled tribes coming from the district of Ukhrul, Manipur. The scheme will uplift the social status of students from scheduled tribes and make their lives more valuable.

Objective of JAIHIND Scheme

The objectives of the initiative JAIHIND Scheme are as follows:

To uplift the social status of tribal students from remote areas and enhance their livelihood to be sustainable.
To provide the basic skills of computer and preparation of CUET to the students in classes 9th to 12th.
To eliminate the barrier between the castes and promote digital equity along with higher education.
To train students in basic CUET form-filling knowledge, such as online form filling, login procedures, and disclosures related to admission.
