  • For N2vehicles, the gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of more than 3.5 tonnes but not exceeding 12 tonnes.
  • For N3 vehicles, Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) exceeding 12 tonnes and up to 55 tonnes.
  • For tractor-trailer setups, only the benefit provided to the puller tractor unit and only if it belongs to the N3 category.
  • The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) must provide a comprehensive, manufacturer-backed warranty for the vehicle.
  • The electric truck must be manufactured in compliance with the government’s Phased Manufacturing Programme (PMP).
  • This means a new e-truck buyer is not required to have been the owner of the scrapped truck.
