The government of Andhra Pradesh has renewed the program Dhoopa Deepa Naivedyam Scheme in the year 2025 under the rule of CM Chandra Babu Naidu keeping in mind to give the highest priority to the development of temples across the state and for the welfare of the priests and temple goers by granting a budget of Rs.10,000 to every temple which finances the periodic rituals and celebration in the temples. This scheme will cover 5,600 temples across the state for the ritual and daily ceremonies. The government has allocated a Budget of rupees 100 crores for the reconstruction and stabilization of temples.

The name itself has a deep meaning of ritual support, such as Dhoopa Deepa Naivedyam, as fragrance, candles, and food offerings to the needy, respectively.
