About the AP Free Bus Scheme
The “AP free bus scheme” was launched by the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. There are a total of 2.62 crore women in the state who can avail the benefits of this scheme. The total budget of this scheme is ₹1,942 crore per annum. The government provides 1,050 electric buses in 11 cities under the PM-ebus Sewa Scheme. Government-issued zero-fare tickets for this scheme. Under this scheme, safety will also be taken care of, and all buses will be tracked using GPS tracking. This scheme for women is a ‘Super Six’ promise provided by Naidu in the run-up to the 2024 poll.
