Components of Krishak Bandhu Scheme – Assured Income & Death Benefit

• Assured Income:- All the eligible farmers who cultivate one acre or more of land get ₹10,000 per year in two installments. The first installment is paid in June (for kharif crops), and the second installment is paid in November (for rabi crops). Those Farmers who have less than one acre get at least ₹4,000 per year on a pro-rata basis.
• Death Benefit:- All Families of deceased registered farmers (aged 18-60) receive a lump sum of ₹2 lakh, including for death by suicide, under this benefit. This component has been effective since 1 January 2019. Through this scheme, already 1.47 lakh families of deceased farmers have received the financial assistance.
